WE’RE LEARNING… Jesus loves everyone.
MEMORY VERSE: “Love each other as I have loved you.” John 15:12b (NIV)
BIBLE STORY: Jesus and the Children I Mark 10:13-16
This month, we’re learning, “Jesus loves everyone.” We’ll read “Jesus and the Children” in Mark 10:13-16 to learn about the time people brought their children to Jesus, and the disciples tried to stop them. Jesus said “Let the little children come to me” (Mark 10:14) because He wanted everyone to know that He loves them and they are important to God.
Jesus loves us, too. In fact, Jesus loves everyone! It doesn’t matter where you live or how old you are — Jesus loves everyone, and we can too!
We made a Bible Story Mealtime Mat to help us remember that Jesus loves everyone. Place the Bible Story Mealtime Mat at the table where your toddler eats. Before each meal, point to the placemat and review the Bible story with your toddler:
- Who do you see in the picture? (Jesus and the children)
- Who did Jesus show love to? (the children)
- Does Jesus love everyone or just the children in the Bible story? (Jesus loves everyone)
Say, “That’s right! Jesus showed love to the children in the Bible story, but He doesn’t love just them — He loves everyone. We can love everyone too, just like Jesus does! Who loves everyone?” Encourage your toddler to say, “Jesus loves everyone!”
