MONTHLY FOCUS: I can be brave.
VERSE FOCUS: “Be strong and brave, do not be afraid. I am the Lord your God.” Joshua 1:9
BIBLE STORY: Josiah the Young King | 2 Kings 22:1-23:3
This week during eKidz we played a game to remind us that we can be brave.
Sit in a circle with your toddler. Say, “Today we are going to play a game to remind us that we can be brave. When I call your name, I will roll you the ball and say, ‘Can you be brave?’ When you catch the ball, jump in the air and yell, ‘I can be brave!’ Are you ready? Let’s play!”
Say, “God made [toddler’s name].” Roll the ball to[toddler’s name]. Say, “Yeah![toddler’s name], can you be brave?” Have the child jump in the air and yell, “I can be brave!” Say, “Who should we roll it to next? Hmm? God made[another toddler’s name].” Roll it to [another toddler’s name]. Say, “[another toddler’s name], can you be brave?” Toddlers can also twirl, spin, clap, etc.
After the Activity: “I knew you could do what I did, because you are brave! We can be brave by doing things that may be hard or scare us, and we can be brave by being nice to our friends. Who can be brave?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can be brave!”
