BIBLE STORY: Daniel and the Lions Daniel 6

Sit on the floor with your toddler. Say, “Let’s ing a song to remind us that God cares for us. I’m going to start by asking you a question, and you answer by saying, ‘God cares for me!’ Let’s practice.”

Say, “When I’m scared, (encourage your toddler to show you his or her scared face) ‘who cares for me?’” Hold your hands out like you are asking a question. Encourage your toddler to point his or her fingers in the air while jumping and yelling, “God cares for me.”

Other phrases to say:

• When I am hurt, (encourage your toddler to show a hurt face, like he or she has a boo boo) who cares for me?

• When I am upset, (encourage your toddler to make an upset face) who cares for me?

• When I am sad, (encourage your toddler to make a sad face, like he or she lost a favorite toy) who cares for me?

• When I am tired, (encourage your toddler to yawn a big yawn) who cares for me?

Say, “No matter what happens or how we feel, God cares for us!” Encourage your toddler to repeat, “God cares for me.”
