WE’RE LEARNING… I can thank God for everything.

BIBLE STORY: Ten Lepers I Esther 1-10

This month, we are learning, “I can thank God for everything.” God has given us so many wonderful things. We can thank Him for everything!

We will learn the story, “Ten Lepers,” in Luke 17:11-19. As Jesus was traveling, He met 10 lepers who asked Him to heal them. Jesus told them, “Go show yourselves to the priest.” As they were on their way, they were healed! Although all 10 men were healed, only one went back to thank Jesus for everything He had done. Just like the one man said thank you, we can show God we are thankful, too! We can always be thankful for everything God does and all He has given us. We can thank Him for everything!

We made a Bible Story Meal Time Mat to help us remember that we can thank God for everything. Place the Bible Story Meal Time Mat at the table where your toddler eats. Before each meal, point to the placemat and review the Bible story with your toddler:

• Who do you see in the picture? (Jesus, 10 sick men Jesus healed, the man who went back to thank Jesus)
• Jesus healed 10 sick men. Did they all go back to give Him thanks or just one of them? (just one of them)

Say, “That’s right! Just like the man went back to thank Jesus, we can give thanks, too. God has given us so many wonderful things, and we can thank Him for everything! Who can give thanks to God for everything?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can give thanks to God for everything.”
