MONTHLY FOCUS: God keeps His promises.
MEMORY VERSE: “Trust the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3:5 (NCV)
BIBLE STORY: Noah’s Ark | Genesis 6-9
This month we are learning, “God keeps His promises.” We can read all about God’s promises in His Word, the Bible! We can trust God no matter what, because He always keeps His promises.
We are learning the story, “Noah’s Ark,” in Genesis 6-9. When God told Noah to build an ark, Noah trusted God and obeyed His instructions. When a huge flood came, Noah and everyone on the boat were safe. When the water dried up, God put a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise to never flood the earth again. This is just one of God’s many promises that we can read in His Word. We can trust God because He always keeps His promises!
We made a Bible Story Meal Time Mat to help us remember that God keeps His promises. Place the Bible Story Meal Time Mat at the table where your toddler eats. Before each meal, point to the place mat and review the Bible story with your toddler:
- Who did God choose to build the ark? (Noah)
- What does Noah’s story teach us about God? (God keeps His promises.)
Say, “After the flood, God put the rainbow in the sky as a sign of one of His promises. We can read all about God’s promises in His Word. God always keeps His promises and we can trust Him! Who keeps His promises?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God keeps His promises!”
