Series Virtue: Audacious Faith – believing God for the impossible and doing something about it.
Bible Story: David in Saul’s Service | I Samuel 16:17-22
Main Point: Use your gifts.
In the second week of our Sticks & Stones series, we continued our look at the life of David and his audacious faith. This week, we read how David was a talented harp player and how that talent earned him a role in King Saul’s court. God used this position to teach David more about being a king. Mr. Frank introduced our second Weapon of the Week as he talked about this story.
As we looked at our own lives, we learned that we can use the gifts we’ve been given to honor God and talked about how God could use that to prepare us for what He has planned. In your family conversations this week, continue that dialogue and talk about how God could be preparing your Motion child for the future.
And last but not least, our brave teams the Sticks and the Stones took to the course again to face The Dreaded Goliath Monkey and his pig minions in the second round of our competition. See who comes out on top this week!
