Bible Story: David Goes to His Brothers | I Samuel 17:17-24, 32
Main Point: Obey in the small things.
This week in Motion, we learned another important “weapon” of audacious faith that helped David in his growth from shepherd to king, and that weapon is patient obedience. In the Bible story we focused on today, we saw David obeying his father and bringing food to his brothers. Watch this video as Mr. Frank explains a little more.
Just like David was patiently obedient in obeying in these small tasks, God calls us to do the same. Like a warrior blocking with a shield, continuing to obey in small tasks builds the kind of character that God likes to work with and bless. This obedience sets us up for God to work mightily in and through our lives, and that’s applicable to all of us.
