The Animal Adventurers | Week 3 #Quest

Bible Story: Joshua 6 | Joshua
Main Point: Teammates Wait!
Memory Verse: “Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do.” Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NIrV)

Lesson Overview: Quest and the Animal Adventurers Troop 49 have been exploring the great outdoors on their quest to earn all six Animal Adventurer badges. We’ve built a fire and showed love to earn the Red Rabbit Badge and crossed a river by trusting our teammates to earn the Yellow Yak badge. Through Troop Master Mickey’s training and stories in the Bible, Troop 49 continues to learn how working together as a team is better than working alone.

Troop Master Mickey was excited to challenge Troop 49 to earn their third Animal Adventurer badge this weekend, the Orange Otter badge.

Troop Master Mickey told Troop 49 each member needed to catch a fish to earn the Orange Otter badge. But not everyone on Troop 49 wanted to patiently wait their turn to catch a fish …

The Bible story from Marty the Moose helped Stacey learned that “Teammates Wait!” and she should wait patiently for her turn to fish. Everyone on Troop 49 waited patiently and caught a fish to earn the Orange Otter badge!

We had fun celebrating with Troop 49 on earning the Orange Otter badge and learning “Teammates Wait!” We can be great teammates just like Joshua from our Bible story.

Troop 49 Animal Adventurer Badges

During The Animal Adventurers series, Quest children will become part of Troop 49! Each week children attend Quest, they will earn a different Quest Animal Adventurer badge. This weekend children earned the third Animal Adventurer bade – the Orange Otter badge – by learning how to be great teammates by waiting patiently just like Joshua waited patiently and marched around the walls of Jericho seven times before the walls fell down.

Memory Verse

Our memory verse during The Animal Adventurers teaches children the importance of teamwork:

Two people (hold up two fingers)
are better than one. (hold up one finger)
They can help each other (two thumbs up)
in everything they do. (spread arms wide)
Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NIrV)

Join us in helping your child lean this verse. During the last weekend of the series, September 27/28, children can recite our memory verse to earn an Animal Adventurers Troop 49 bandana!
