Series Memory Verse: Proverbs 2:4-5, “If you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

Bible Story: Proverbs 29:11

Main Point: A wise person is patient

When we last left the Film Club at Miller’s Ridge Academy, they were in a battle for their existence – they needed to raise $2,000 in two weeks or they would be shut down. Immediately after hearing this news, they received a threatening note and someone broke their camera. Will they be able to overcome this saboteur and raise the money or will their struggle continue? Find out in Episode 2…

Our good friend Dr. Oldman has been watching these episodes with us and has some thoughts on what we saw. See what he thinks…

We’re learning about wisdom in this series and Dr. Oldman highlighted an excellent point from this episode – a wise person is patient and doesn’t argue. Zack and Caleb, if they continued to argue and lack patience, could have brought down the whole operation. Proverbs speaks very clearly on being patient and warns us against letting our anger have free rein in our lives. In our family lives, there are many opportunities to learn to control our anger – look for those this week and have conversation about the wise way to live.

Even though the Film Club remembered to be patient, their movie on the lawn event was still a disaster because someone sabotaged it by setting off fireworks. Make sure to come back next week to see what happens!
