Complete the activities below with your toddler to help them learn Jesus loves everyone.
July 3:
Song Activity:
WHAT YOU DO:
- Lead your toddler in singing the following to the tune of “London Bridge is Falling Down.”
I can look for ways to help,
ways to help, ways to help.
I can look for ways to help,
and show God’s love.
- After the activity, say, “Great job singing! Who helps you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can help others!”
July 10:
Memory Verse Activity: Memory Freeze
WHAT YOU NEED:Praise Party playlist
WHAT YOU DO:
- Play the Praise Party playlist and have a dance party to help your toddler remember the memory verse.
- After about 30 seconds, pause the music and encourage your toddler to stand very still or FREEZE.
- Lead them in saying the memory verse with these motions:
“Serve (move hands outward)
one another (point around)
in love.” (hug self)
Psalm 54:4a (open hands like a book)
- After saying the verse, turn the music on again and repeat the activity every 30 seconds for as long as your toddler is interested.
July 17:
Song Activity:
WHAT YOU DO:
- Lead your toddler in singing the following to the tune of “Mary Had a Little Lamb.”
- I will help and serve my friends,
serve my friends, serve my friends.
I will show God’s love to them,
in everything I do. - After the activity, say, “Great job singing! Who can help others?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can help others!”
July 24:
Response Activity:
WHAT YOU DO:
- Say, “There are so many ways we can help others, and one way is by serving during LOVE Week! LOVE Week is a special time in our church when we show others God’s love by serving them for one whole week. Let’s learn about some ways we can help others during LOVE Week!”
- Read each prompt below and encourage your toddler to respond.
- “You might get to help others by cleaning up trash. Pretend you’re picking up trash off the ground if you can help others!”
- “During LOVE Week, you might comfort those who are sick by making them cards. Pretend to color if you can help others by making them cards!”
- “You might help others this week by cleaning at a school. Pretend to sweep if you can help others clean!”
- “You can also help sort clothes that will be donated to families in need. Give me two thumbs-up if you can help sort clothes to be donated!”
- After the activity, say, “Great job! Who can help others?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can help others!”
July 31:
