Complete the activities below with your toddler to help them learn Jesus loves everyone.
February 5:
Song Activity:
WHAT YOU DO:
- Say, “In today’s Bible story, Jesus showed love to the children in the crowd. Let’s play a fun game to help us remember Jesus loves us too!”
- Read the prompts below and encourage your toddler to respond.
- “Let me see your happy face! (Pause.) If you know Jesus loves you when you’re happy, clap your hands.”
- “Show me see your sad face! (Pause.) If you know Jesus loves you when you’re sad, pat your head.”
- “Let me see your excited face! (Pause.) If you know Jesus loves you when you’re excited, wave your arms in the air.”
- “Show me your tired face! (Pause.) If you know Jesus loves you when you’re tired, give yourself a hug.”
- “Can you show me your silly face? (Pause.) If you know Jesus loves you when you’re silly, pat the ground.”
- After the activity, say, “Remember, Jesus loves you no matter what! Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “Jesus loves me!”
February 12:
Memory Verse Activity:
WHAT YOU NEED: Safari Playlist
WHAT YOU DO:
- Before the activity, practice saying the memory verse and doing the motions a few times.
- Play the Safari playlist and have a dance party to help your toddler remember the memory verse.
- After about 30 seconds, pause the music and encourage your toddler to stand very still or FREEZE.
- Lead them in saying the memory verse with these motions:
“Love comes (hug self)
from God.” (point up)
1 John 4:7b (open hands like a book)
- After saying the verse, turn the music on again and repeat the activity every 30 seconds for as long as your toddler is interested.
- After the activity, say, “Great job! Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “Jesus loves me!”
February 19:
Song Activity:
WHAT YOU DO:
- Lead your toddler in singing the song below to the tune of “Are You Sleeping?”

- Continue the activity for as long as your toddler is interested.
- After the activity, say, “Great job! Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “Jesus loves me!”
February 26:
Parade Activity:
WHAT YOU DO:
- Lead toddlers in a parade around the room. As they march, ask, “Who loves you?” and encourage them to shout, “Jesus loves me!” Occasionally stop and replace “you/me” with each toddler’s name.
- During the parade, switch it up and encourage them to do the following:
- Hop
- Crawl
- Twirl
- Walk fast
- Walk slow
- Take big steps
- Take little steps
- After the activity, say, “Great job! Who loves you?” Encourage toddlers to say, “Jesus loves me!”
