This Week in Motion :: Hold on even when you don’t know what to do.

Hold on even when you don’t know what to do. Exodus 2:1-10

As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.

Question #1: When was a time you helped solve a problem? How did you know what to do?

Question #2: How does it feel when you’re not sure what to do?

Question #3: Read Exodus 2:2-3. Moses’ mother wasn’t sure what to do — she put her baby in a basket on a river to keep him safe. God was with Moses, and He used him to free all the Israelites! How does this encourage you to hold on and trust God when you don’t know what to do?

Question #4: What are some ways you can rely on God for help when you’re not sure what to do?

Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.

This week:

Read: Psalms 32:8 — Write down what the verse means to you!

Ask: How does this verse encourage you to hold on when you don’t know what to do?

Yak: Share what you read with someone. How do they hold on when they don’t know what to do?
