Love others because God loves you. ● 1 John 4:9-11
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.
Question #1: What does it mean to love someone?
Question #2: Read 1 John 4:10-11. God loved us first, and sent His Son Jesus to us. What are some other ways that we see and feel the love of God?
Question #3: How can showing love to others help us point them to Jesus?
Question #4: What are some ways you can love others like God loves you?
Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.
This week:
Read: John 13:34 — Write down what the verse means to you!
Ask: How can knowing God loves you help you love others?
Yak: Tell someone what you read. What’s one way they remember God loves them?
