Put others first because Jesus put you first. ● Philippians 2:3-8
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.
Question #1: What are some ways people might want to put themselves first?
Question #2: What are some ways you’ve put others first?
Question #3: What we read in Philippians 2:3-4 can remind us that looking out for the interests of others is a great way to put them first! What does it look like to do this in your family? How about at school?
Question #4: What are some reasons we can choose to put others first? How can you put someone first this week?
Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.
This week:
Read: John 13:5 — Write down what this verse means to you!
Ask: How did Jesus put others first in this verse? What are some easy ways you can put others first?
Yak: Share what you read with someone. What do they do to follow Jesus’ example and put others first?
