Show respect even when you don’t get along. ● Matthew 5:43-47
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.
Question #1: Why should we try to show others they are important?
Question #2:Read Luke 10:40-42. Martha was working to fix dinner and clean house, but her sister Mary sat with Jesus so she could listen to Him. When are some other times that listening shows respect?
Question #3: What are some ways you can be like Mary and spend time with Jesus to show Him He’s important to you?
Question #4: How has someone shown you you’re important? How can you show others they are important?
Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.
This week:
Read: Romans 12:10— Write down what the verse means to you!
Ask: How can this verse help us remember to take time to show others they are important?
Yak: Share what you read with someone. How do they show others they are important?
