This Week in Motion :: Trusting God can help you get back up.

Trusting God can help you get back up. ● Hebrews 11

As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.

Question #1: What does trusting God mean to you? What are some ways we show God we trust Him? (Like always loving you, helping you when things are tough, blessing you with things you need, etc.)

Question #2: This month, we’re learning that being resilient means getting back up when something gets you down. How does trusting God help you be resilient?

Question #3: Read Hebrews 11:8-9. Abraham trusted God with something big by traveling to a place he didn’t know because God told him to — but we also need to trust God with the small things. What are some small things or situations that you can trust God to help you with this week?

Question #4: Sometimes getting back up from tough situations doesn’t happen fast. There are a lot of people in Hebrews 11 who had to wait a long time for God to help them or keep a promise. What’s something you’re waiting for? How can you show resilience or trust God while you wait?

Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.

This week:

Read: Joshua 1:5-6 — Write down what the verses mean to you!

Ask: How do these verses help you trust God?

Yak: Share what you read with someone. What are some things they want to trust God with this week?
