This Week in Motion :: Whatever happens, remember God is bigger than your questions.

Whatever happens, remember God is bigger than your questions. ● John 20:19-29

As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.

Question #1: We’re learning that hope means believing something good can come from something bad. Even when we try our best to have hope, we might still have some doubts or questions. Do you think having doubts or questions means you’re not following Jesus? Why or why not?

Question #2: Read John 20:24-25. This is after Jesus died and rose again — Thomas didn’t believe that was possible, and he doubted God. What are some reasons people doubt God?

Question #3: Do you think it’s good to have doubts and questions about God? What’s a question you have about God?

Question #4: What’s the BEST thing you can do when you have questions and doubts about God? What’s the WORST thing you can do?

Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.

This week:

Read: Isaiah 55:8-9 — Write down what the verses mean to you!

Ask: How does it give you hope that God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours?

Yak: Tell someone what you’ve learned about how big God is!
