When bad things happen, God is with you.
Paul Shipwrecked ● Acts 27:1-28:10
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.
Question #1: How do you usually respond when difficult or bad things happen to you?
Question #2: Let’s re-read Acts 27:22-24a. Here, Paul is talking to others on the ship during a terrible storm. An angel had reminded him God was with them! What things help you remember God is with you?
Question #3:Believing in God doesn’t mean bad things will happen less — but it does mean He will be with us! How does it help you to know He is always with you?
Question #4: Think of a challenge you don’t want to face alone. How can you remember God is with you when you face that challenge?
Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.
This week:
Read: Acts 27:1-28:10 out loud and try acting out what is happening in the story with your family.
Ask: Think of a time when you went through something bad but knew God was with you. How did that make you feel?
Yak: Share what you read with someone. How does this verse help you build your faith?
