When you forgive others, it can change them. ● Luke 19:1-10
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.
Question #1: Do you think it’s more difficult to ask for forgiveness or to forgive someone else?
Question #2: Has anyone ever asked for your forgiveness? How did you respond?
Question #3: In Luke 19:5-8, Jesus showed Zacchaeus that even though he had done wrong things, Jesus still loved and forgave him — and Zacchaeus immediately promised to make up for what he had done! How can forgiveness change someone?
Question #4: What can you do to remind yourself to forgive someone the next time a person makes you mad or hurts your feelings?
Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.
This week:
Read: 2 Corinthians 2:10 — Write down what the verse means to you!
Ask: What’s one way forgiving someone can change them?
Yak: Share what you read with someone. How do they remember that when we forgive others, it can change them?
