You can trust that God has a plan. ● Genesis 28:10-22
As a family, discuss a few questions together after your child watches this week’s Motion episode.
Question #1: How do you react when things don’t go your way?
Question #2: Read Genesis 28:15. God said this to Jacob in a dream. Does knowing God was with Jacob, even though Jacob didn’t make great choices, help you to trust God no matter what? Why or why not?
Question #3: Jacob might not have been very trustworthy, but he was still part of God’s plan. How does it encourage you to know that even if you mess up, God still has a plan to make things right?
Question #4: What’s something that’s not going the way you want? How can you trust God with it?
Read the Bible — by yourself and with others. Try different translations. Set aside a special, quiet time to dive in.
Ask questions to help you understand — who’s the author, who are they writing to, and how does this part of the Bible point you toward Jesus?
Yak — share about what you’re learning and what God is showing you, especially with friends who don’t have a relationship with Jesus or want to learn more about Him.
This week:
Read: Jeremiah 29:11 — Write down what the verse means to you!
Ask: What plans does the verse say God has for us?
Yak: Share what you read with someone. How does it encourage them to know that God has a plan?
