This Week In Quest :: I can love everyone like Jesus.

Main point: I can love everyone like Jesus.
Bible story: Jesus Loves Everyone ● The Gospels

As a family, watch this week’s video and then discuss a few questions together.

  • Who was today’s Bible story about? (Jesus, the disciples)
  • What happened in the Bible story? (Jesus began to tell people about God and needed help. He chose 12 helpers and called them His disciples. Jesus taught them about God’s love.)
  • How many helpers did Jesus choose? (12)
  • Were Jesus’ helpers called the diggers or the disciples? (disciples)
  • Jesus found 12 helpers and taught them about God’s love. Can we love everyone like Jesus does? (yes)

Family Activity: Let’s Be Gentle

WHAT YOU NEED: activity page, glue, pencil or pen, cotton swab, confetti or glitter

WHAT YOU DO:

  • Before the Activity: Print off the activity page.
  • During the Activity: Encourage your child to think of someone they know who they can love like Jesus and write their name on the paper. Then instruct your child to use the cotton swab to trace the name in glue. Once they’ve finished adding glue to the letters, encourage them to sprinkle confetti/glitter over the glue and help them shake off the excess.

WHAT YOU SAY:

  • During the Activity: “Look at your paper. I wrote (person’s name your child shared)’s name on it! I want you to use a cotton swab to trace the name with glue. (Pause.) Now for the really fun part! Take some confetti/glitter and sprinkle it over the glue. (Pause.) Great job!”
  • After the Activity: “Jesus loves everyone and we can love others like He does! (Person’s name your child shared) is just one of the many people we can love like Jesus! Who can love like Jesus?” (I can love like Jesus.)
