Lesson Overview:
This weekend in Motion we learned that honor is acknowledging the value in others by realizing God gives everyone gifts. God gave Joseph a special gift of interpreting dreams. God also gave Joseph’s brothers special gifts, but Joseph was too focused on the gift God have him and not the gifts God had given his brothers. Joseph could have honored his brothers by acknowledging the unique gifts God had given to them as well. One way that we can acknowledge the value in others is by realizing God gives everyone gifts.

Lesson Overview:
Meet Sharky! This weekend we dove down deep with Sharky and discovered a Bible story from Matthew 6 about the birds of heaven and the flowers of the field. Our friend Captain Nic and his submarine crew happened to be exploring the same seas. When the submarine was diving down, it became very dark and the entire crew was scared! Captain Nic shared that just like God takes care of the birds of heaven and the flowers of the field, God will take care of us.

We introduced a new memory verse in Quest this weekend! Begin working with your child to learn this verse throughout April and May. If they can recite it on the weekend of May 25/26, they will get a fun prize!

Grab the Joshua and the Wall coloring page and hold it up so your child can see it. Point to the people in the picture. Say, “Joshua trusted God and marched around the wall. Because Joshua trusted God and did what God said, the wall came tumbling down!” Sing the March Around song with your toddler.
