#WorshipGames2 : Episode 4

October/November Memory Verse: Romans 15:5-6, “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Series Virtue: Unity – working together to accomplish a goal

Bible Story: The Believers Stand Together | Acts 5:27-33

Main Point: Unity helps us overcome fear.

This week in The Worship Games 2, the competitors faced a fear factor – they had to choose whether or not they were going to go down The Mega Zip – a 1,123 foot long, 46 foot high zip line over whitewater. The only way they would be eliminated is if they were unwilling to go through the zip line. Check out the video below to see what happens!

Everyone was able to go down The Mega Zip and all five teams moved on to the next round. What Mr. Larry taught was really important: unity helps us overcome fear. The competitors were able to have their teammate right next to them on top of the tower and they were able to support each other as they went through with it. In our lives, it’s important to have people around us – family, friends, eGroup members, etc – who will encourage and support us when we’re facing a scary or intimidating situation.

This week, perform a check-up of you and your family and who you have supporting you. Do you have people around you who will help support you as parents? Does your family have other families you’re connected with that can do life together? Do your kids have friends who will help influence them toward the things of God?

When we’re united with others, it can help us overcome a lot in life. Make sure your family is united with others so that you’re as prepared as possible to deal with whatever life throws your way.
