We’re Learning… Jesus loves me.
Bible Story: Jesus is Alive! ● Matthew 26-28
As a family, read “Jesus is Alive!” (Matthew 26-28) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Response Activity:
- Say, “God loves us. He showed us how much He loves us by giving His Son, Jesus. Let’s sing a song to help us remember this truth!”
- Lead toddlers in singing the song below to the tune of “Are You Sleeping?”.
God loves you. God loves you.
Yes, He does. Yes, He does.
He will always love you, and always be with you.
Yes, He will. Yes, He will.
- After the activity, say, “Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God loves me!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for loving us. Please help us always remember no matter what, You’ll always love us. We love you. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “The Story of Easter” by Allia Zobel-Nolan. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
NAMES OF GOD
This year, our NextGen ministry is focusing on the names of God. This month, we’re focusing on the name Jehovah Shalom. Jehovah Shalom means the “Lord is peace.” As you pray for your toddler this week, pray they’ll grow up to know God and His peace personally.
Dear God, thank You for loving us. As my child grows up, I pray they’ll get to know you, Jehovah Shalom, and begin a personal relationship with You. Please help them experience Your peace. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.
