Response Activity:
LOVE Week is July 27-August 3! LOVE Week is a special time in our church where we serve in our communities. If you’re interested in serving as a family, you can find family-friendly events HERE.
- Say, “We can help others during LOVE Week — it’s when our church shows God’s love by helping others. But we can also help others all the time. Let’s learn some ways we can help people around us!”
- Read each prompt and encourage your toddler to respond.
- “You can help others by cleaning up trash. Pretend to pick up trash off the ground if you can help others!”
- “You can comfort those who are sick by making them cards. Pretend to color if you can help others.”
- “You can help clean at a school. Pretend to sweep if you can help others.”
- “You can help sort clothes for families in need. Pat your head if you can help others.”
- After the activity, say, “Great job! Who can help others?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can help others!”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “The Gift that I Can Give” by Kathie Lee Gifford. If you’re looking for a new book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
