Main point: God loves us so much that God gave us Jesus.
Bible story: God Loves Me ● John 3:16; 1 John 4:9-10
As a family, read “God Loves Me” (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9-10) from the Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, discuss these questions together:
- Who was our Bible story about? (God, us)
- Does God love us so much, He gave us Jesus? (yes)

This week, engage in everyday moments to continue the conversation:
-
- Morning Time: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: “Good morning, (child’s name)! I love you SO much! And guess who else loves you. God loves you! God loves you so much that God gave you Jesus to be your friend forever. That’s a LOT of love!”
- Cuddle Time: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, thank You for loving us so much that You gave us Jesus to be our friend forever. Jesus is the best friend because He made a way for us to be with You forever.”
- Bath Time: Add bubble bath and a foam heart to bath time. Drop the heart in the bubbles. When your child finds it, tell them to hold it up and say: “God loves me!”
- Drive Time: While on the go, talk about gifts you have been given and gifts you have given to others. Then, talk about how God loves us SO much that God gave us His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever!
