We’re Learning… I can give thanks to God.
Bible Story: Ten Lepers ● Luke 17:11-19
As a family, read “Ten Lepers” — Luke 17:11-19 from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together:
Parade Activity:
- Lead your toddler in a parade around the room while shouting, “Thank you, God!”
- Occasionally stop and ask your toddler to point to something in the room they can thank God for. (e.g., toys, family, food, clothes, etc.)
- Continue the activity for as long as your toddler is engaged.
- Say, “Great job! God has given us so many good things, and we can always give thanks to Him! Who can give thanks to God?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can give thanks to God!”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “Thank You, God!” If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
NAMES OF GOD
This year, our NextGen ministry is learning about the names of God. This month, we’re focusing on the name Jehovah Rapha, which means “The Lord That Heals.” As you pray for your toddler this week, pray they’ll remember who God is and how much He loves them.
“Dear God, we’re so thankful for who You are and how much You love us. Thank You for being Jehovah Rapha. We believe You are able to heal. As my child grows up, please help them remember this truth when they feel sick, hurt, or need help healing our hearts or thoughts. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
