After reading the Bible story, discuss these questions together:

• What happened in the Bible story? (God promised to lead the Israelites to a new home and used a special way to show them the way to go.)
• God used a special way to show the Israelites the way to go. Does God show you the way to go too? (yes)

This week, engage in everyday moments to continue the conversation: 

• • Morning Time: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say, “Good morning, (child’s name)! I don’t know everything that’s going to happen today, but I do know that God’s got it!”
  • Cuddle Time: Cuddle with your child and pray, “Dear God, we want to go Your way because Your way is always best. Thank You for sending Jesus to show us the way to love one another. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
  • Bath Time: During bath time, sing the following words to the tune of “Three Blind Mice.”
    Trust in the Lord. Trust in the Lord. Trust in the Lord.
    Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
    Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
    Trust in the Lord.
  • Drive Time: While on the go, look up at the clouds during the day and the moon and stars at night. Talk about how God used a tall cloud during the day and a tall fire during the night to show God’s people the way to go.
