Main point: Jesus loves me.
Bible story: Jesus and the Children ● Luke 18:15-16
As a family, read “Jesus and the Children”(Luke 18:15-16) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, discuss these questions together:
- What happened in the Bible story? (People were bringing their children to Jesus, but the disciples tried to send them away. Jesus told His friends, the disciples, to let the children come to Him.)
- Who loves you? (Jesus loves me.)

This week, engage in everyday moments to continue the conversation:
- Morning Time: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say, “Good morning, (child’s name)! Do you know how much Jesus loves children? Jesus loves children so much He told His disciples to let the children come to Him.”
- Cuddle Time: Cuddle with your child and pray, “God, I can imagine children running up to see Jesus and Jesus opening His arms and telling everyone to let the children come to Him. Thank You for showing us that children are important and You love them.”
- Bath Time: Use bath crayons to practice drawing hearts together. Each time you draw a heart, say, “Jesus loves me!” Then, when you pick your child up to get them out of the tub, say, “One, two, three! Jesus loves ME!”
- Drive Time: While on the go, take turns saying, “Jesus loves (child’s name).” Remember, you can only use the names of children. When you’re done, talk about how Jesus told His disciples to let the children come to Him because Jesus loves all children.
