We’re Learning… God cares for me.
Bible Story: Jesus Teaches People ● Matthew 5:1-12; 6:25-34
As a family, read “Jesus Teaches People” (Matthew 5:1-12; 6:25-34) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Coloring Page Activity:
Supplies Needed: coloring page, crayons
- Print the coloring page.
- Give it to your toddler, and set out the crayons.
- After they finish coloring, ask:
- “Who do you see on the page?” (Jesus)
- “Jesus taught about how God takes care of the birds and flowers and how He takes care of us too. Does God care for you?” (yes)
- After the activity, say, “Great job! This coloring page will help us remember God loves us and cares for us! Who cares for you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God cares for me!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, we’re so thankful for all the ways You care for us. Please help us remember no matter what, we can trust You because You care for us. We love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “God Cares For Me” by Kristen Wetherell. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
