We’re Learning… God loves me.
Bible Story: Jesus is alive! ● Mathew 26-28
As a family, read “Jesus is alive!” (Matthew 26-28) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Coloring Page Activity:
Supplies Needed: coloring page, crayons
- Print off the coloring page on regular paper.
- Give your toddler the coloring page, and set out the crayons.
- After they finish coloring, ask:
- “Who do you see on the page?” (Jesus, Jesus’ friends)
- “Jesus died on the cross, but then came back three days later. Is Jesus alive?” (yes)
- “God showed His love by giving us His Son, Jesus, who died on the cross. Does God love you?” (yes)
- After the activity, say, “Great job! This picture will help us remember God loves us! Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God loves me!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for giving us Jesus. We’re so grateful Jesus wants to be our friend forever. Please help us remember no matter what, You love us. We love you. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “God Gave Us Easter” by Lisa Tawn Bergren. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
