This Week In Safari Babies :: God loves me.

We’re Learning… God loves me.
Bible Story: Jesus is alive! ● Mathew 26-28

Happy Easter! As a family, read “Jesus is alive!” (Matthew 26-28) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)

After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.

Response Activity:

  • Say, “God showed us how much He loves us by giving His Son, Jesus. Let’s have a parade to celebrate Easter!”
  • Lead your toddler in a parade around the room. As they march, lead them in these movements:
    • Hop
    • Crawl
    • Twirl
    • Say, “Jesus is alive!”
    • Walk fast or slow
    • Take big or little steps
    • Ask, “Who loves you?” and encourage your toddler to say, “God loves me!”
  • Repeat the question but replace “you/me” with your toddler’s name.
  • After the activity, say, “While you have fun celebrating Easter, don’t forget to remember God loves you! Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God loves me!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:

“Dear God, thank You for giving us Jesus. We’re so grateful Jesus wants to be our friend forever. Please help us remember no matter what, You love us. We love you. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚

In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “God Gave Us Easter” by Lisa Tawn Bergren. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE
