We’re Learning… God loves me.
Bible Story: Jesus is alive! ● Matthew 26-28
As a family, read “Jesus is alive!” (Matthew 26-28) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Song Activity:
- Say, “God loves us, and He showed how much He loves us by giving His Son, Jesus. Let’s do an activity to help us remember this truth!”
- Lead your toddler in singing the song below to the tune of “Farmer in the Dell.”
God loves you. God loves me.
God loves you and me so much,
He gave His Son to us.
- Repeat the song for as long as your toddler is interested.
- After the activity, say, “Wonderful job singing! Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God loves me!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for giving us Jesus. We’re so grateful Jesus wants to be our friend forever. Please help us remember no matter what, You love us. We love you. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “God Gave Us Easter” by Lisa Tawn Bergren. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
