We’re Learning… God made everything.
Bible Story: The Beginning ● Genesis 1
As a family, read “The Beginning” (Genesis 1) from the Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Song Activity:
- Say, “Let’s sing a song to help us remember God made everything!”
- Lead your toddler in singing the song below to the tune of “Old McDonald Had a Farm.”
God made all the animals. Look how great He is!
And on the earth God made a duck.
Look how great He is!
With a quack, quack here and a quack, quack there.
Here a quack, there a quack, everywhere a quack, quack.
God made all the animals. Look how great He is!
Repeat the song, using a different animal and sound each time. (e.g., dog/woof, cat/meow, frog/ribbit, pig/oink, bird/chirp, etc.)
- Repeat the song for as long as your toddler is interested.
- After the activity, say, “Wonderful job singing! Who made everything?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God made everything!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for making so many good things, even all of us! When we look at all the good things You’ve made, please help us remember how much You love us. We love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “Praise Him.” If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
