This Week In Safari Babies :: God made everything.

We’re Learning… God made me.
Bible Story: The First People ● Genesis 2

As a family, read “The First People” — Genesis 2 from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)

After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together:

Song Activity:

  • Lead your toddler in singing to the tune of “The Farmer in the Dell.”

    God made me,
    God made me.
    God made everything we see,
    and God made me.

Repeat the song, but replace “me” with your toddler’s name.

    God made (toddler’s name),
    God made (toddler’s name).
    God made everything we see,
    and God made (toddler’s name).
  • Continue the activity for as long as your toddler is engaged.
  • Say, “Wonderful job singing! Who made you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God made me!”

📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚

In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “Good News! God Made Me!” If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE

NAMES OF GOD

This year, our NextGen ministry is learning about the names of God. This month, we’re focusing on the name Jehovah Tsidkenu (TSID-KE-NU), which means “The Lord Our Righteousness.” As you pray for your toddler this week, pray they’ll remember who God is and how much He loves them.

Dear God, thank You for loving us. As my child grows up, I pray they’ll know You, Jehovah Tsidkenu, as our God who is perfectly righteous. Please help us learn more about who You are, and help us grow closer to You every day. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
