We’re Learning… I can help others.
Bible Story: The Good Samaritan ● Luke 10:25-37
As a family, read “The Good Samaritan” (Luke 10:25-37) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Song Activity:
- Say, “Let’s sing a song to help us remember we can help others!”
- Lead your toddler in singing the song below to the tune of “London Bridge is Falling Down.”I can look for ways to help,
ways to help, ways to help.
I can look for ways to help,
and show God’s love.
- Continue the activity for as long as your toddler is interested.
- After the activity, say, “Great job singing! Who can help others?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can help others!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for being with us and showing us how to help others. Please give us kind hearts and help us be ready to serve when someone is in need. We love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “I Can Help” by Jennifer Hilton and Kristen McCurry. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
