December series: This December, we’re singing loudly as we jam out to our Christmas Playlist to celebrate Jesus, God’s greatest gift! The best gift God ever gave was Jesus. Because of Jesus, we can have a relationship with God that will last forever. As we get in the mix this Christmas season, let’s take time to remember the reason we celebrate in the first place: Jesus, the greatest gift the world has ever known.

The Story of Christmas • Matthew 1:18-25, 2:1-23; Luke 1:26-28, 2:1-21, 39-40
In Luke 2:8-20, Jesus was born, and it was time to announce it to the world. Instead of heading to the wealthiest people, some angels visited the shepherds and announced Jesus’ birth to them first! The shepherds ran to see Jesus, and once they did, it was news they couldn’t keep to themselves. Jesus is worth celebrating with everyone!
Family Discussion Questions:
- Who is someone you are excited to celebrate Jesus with this season?
- What are some ways you’ve seen God’s love for you?
- How can you celebrate Jesus with others this week?
Engage in everyday moments together this week:
- Morning Time: As your kid starts their day, tell them how much you love them.
- Mealtime: At a meal this week, have everyone at the table answer this question: “What are some ways we can celebrate Jesus with other people?”
- Drive Time: While on the go, ask your kid, “If you had some really good news, who would you want to tell? How would you celebrate it?”
- Bedtime: Pray for each other: “Jesus, help us to be brave and share how much we love You and to celebrate You with others.”
