Forgiveness: Showing love to someone who has hurt you.
Memory Verse: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
Forgiveness can be tricky to understand and even harder to show in real life. When people hurt us, our first instinct may be to retaliate or reciprocate, but that’s not what God wants for us. We’re told to show kindness and compassion to others, and in doing so, we can experience real life.
- Week 1 (Week of June 2): What is forgiveness?
- Week 2 (Week of June 9): I can forgive others.
- Week 3 (Week of June 16): Everyone needs forgiveness, even me.
- Week 4 (Week of June 23): I need to ask for forgiveness.
- Week 5 (Week of June 30): Love remixes forgiveness.
This summer, we’re going to start the party and celebrate the Good News about God. And when God is at the center of our celebration, we can have joy all the time! We’re not talking about the happiness you get from a carnival ride or a triple scoop of ice cream. We’re talking about the joy that only comes from God!
Check back each week for the Bible story, discussion questions, and ways to continue the conversation:
- Week 1 (Week of June 2):I can have joy because God loves me.

We’re Learning… I can obey God.
Bible Story: Noah’s Ark ● Genesis 6-9
This month we’re learning, “I can obey God.” God gave us His Word so we can learn who He is and how He wants us to live. When we read it, we’ll learn that God wants us to be kind, share, and obey. The more we learn and obey God’s Word, the more we’ll learn how we can live for Him!
