This Week In Quest Preschool :: Jesus loves everyone.

Main point: Jesus loves everyone.
Bible story: The Man With Leprosy ● Matthew 8:1-3; Mark 1:40-45

As a family, read “The Man With Leprosy” (Matthew 8:1-3; Mark 1:40-45) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)

After reading the Bible story, discuss these questions together:

  • What happened in the Bible story? (Jesus touches a man who asks for help and heals him of all his boo-boos.)
  • Who does Jesus love? (everyone)

This week, engage in everyday moments to continue the conversation:

  • Morning Time: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say, “Good morning, (child’s name)! Do you know why I’m smiling? I’m smiling because I know we can talk to Jesus and ask Him for help anytime we need it, just like the man with leprosy did.”
  • Cuddle Time: Cuddle with your child and pray, “God, thank You for sending Jesus to love people who are sick and have boo-boos, just like Jesus loved the man with leprosy in the Bible.”
  • Bath Time: Use a washable marker to make dots on a plastic toy. Give the toy to your child during bath time. Tell them to wash the “boo-boos” off. Talk about how there was a man in the Bible who had boo-boos all over his skin. No one would touch the man or be his friend until he met Jesus. Jesus was his friend! Jesus touched him and made all of his boo-boos go away!
  • Drive Time: While on the go, every time you see a person, say, “Jesus loves that person!” Talk about how Jesus loves everyone!
