We’re Learning… God loves me.
Bible Story: Jesus is alive! ● Mathew 26-28
As a family, read “Jesus is alive!” (Matthew 26-28) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)
After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.
Memory Verse Activity:
Supplies Needed: music device, Safari Babies Worship Playlist
- Say, “Let’s learn and practice a memory verse to help us remember God loves us!”
- Lead your toddler in practicing the verse below with the motions.
“Love comes (hug self)
from God.” (point up)
1 John 4:7 (open hands like a book) - Then play the Safari Babies Worship playlist and have a dance party.
- After about 30 seconds, pause the music and encourage your toddler to stand very still or FREEZE.
- Lead them in saying the memory verse with the actions. Then turn the music on again and repeat the activity every 30 seconds.
- After the activity, say, “Great job! This verse helps us remember God loves us! Who loves you?” Encourage your toddler to say, “God loves me!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:
“Dear God, thank You for giving us Jesus. We’re so grateful Jesus wants to be our friend forever. Please help us remember no matter what, You love us. We love you. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚
In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “God Gave Us Easter” by Lisa Tawn Bergren. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
