This Week In Safari Babies :: I can pray to God.

We’re Learning… I can pray to God.
Bible Story: Daniel and the Lions ● Daniel 6

As a family, read “Daniel and the Lions” (Daniel 6) from a children’s Bible. (CLICK HERE for children’s Bible recommendations.)

After reading the Bible story, complete the activity together.

Song Activity:

  • Say, “Let’s sing a song to help us remember to pray to God!”
  • Lead your toddler in singing the song to the tune of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat.”

    Pray, pray, pray to God.
    Talk to God today.
    God always hears your prayers,
    So pray to Him today.

    Listen to His words.
    Listen to His words.
Hear His words and then obey,
    And listen to His words.

  • Repeat the song for as long as your toddler is interested.
  • After the activity, say, “Wonderful job, singing! Remember, we can always pray and talk to God anytime, anywhere. Who can pray to God?” Encourage your toddler to say, “I can pray to God!” Then lead your toddler in prayer:

“Dear God, thank You for loving us! We know You are powerful and strong. Please help us always remember we can trust You because You are more powerful than anything. We love You. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

📚ADD TO YOUR LIBRARY 📚

In addition to reading stories from the Bible each Sunday, we also read a book together that reinforces what we’re learning. This month, we’re reading “First I Say a Prayer” by Crystal Bowman and Teri McKinley. If you’re looking for a faith-based book to add to your child’s library at home, you can learn more about this month’s book HERE!
